Seed selection
The preservation of seeds carry the genetic vitality of millenniums throughout the history of Agriculture ; the storage of ancient plant species that have been the sustenance for the human specie since the beginning of soil cultivation. The diverse catalog of plant DNA which contains the annals of history; the genetic preservation for the future of the human family. Long lists of varieties have been lost throughout the years, primarily because of the introduction of new so-called improved ones. On the other hand there are other ancient indigenous varieties that have been inately preserved; and this is the gene pool that we will continue to carry on in the years to come along with additional uncoveries..
DNA Strain
Single strand DNA is the original form of all species on land, and within the sea and lakes; while single chromosome pairs are the original form of all land food species. The species with two or more chromosome pairs (polyploidy) emerged from plant breeding and selection of stabalized off-springs from hybrids (de-hybridization); they are also species that have an enlarged single pair of chromosomes (gigantism); these are the forms of mutation, along with Mutation breeding that have significantly comprimised the ooriginal genetic forms presented to us by Nature.. Wild plant species on the other hand, maintain their original single strand form throughout millenniums.
Embryonic Stem cells within human and plant cells are unspecialized, resembling single-strand, while adult stem cells are specialized resembling double-strand. Embryonic stem cells contain the substance of human mitochondrial-DNA - the regenerative principle of continual cell division upon continual revitalization; that which specializes into Adult stem cells, which replenish cell, blood, organ, cartilage, tendon and bone tissue; the replenishment of reproductive sperm and ovum (developing eggs-seeds within the ovaries). All metabolic, respiratory, neuro-endocrine, circulatory, digestive enzyme and urinary functions are facilitated by stem cells. The first land and oceanic life-form by-which photosynthesis in plants and algae derived was Cyanobacteria - a single-cell specie
Seed preservation is so imperative to the continual engagement of agriculture; the reason why we explored the many species that still possessed the wild vigor of self-seeding and perennial character. We are still exploring more indigenous varieties that remain in the wild; and also those that have been carried down through time, and carried by catalogs that offer select heirlooms pre-dating the 1700’s, those that were cultivated from the wild, wild domesticated and one generation from wild strains.
The art of seed saving of wild and indigenous species requires some thorough basics of botany and plant genetics; it illustrates the family, genus, species and sub-species (variety), and which sub-species and in rare cases species that will cross. It presents the basic fundamentals of self-pollinated, insect pollinated and wind pollinated plants. and expounds on how complete pollination requires the native pollinaors - carpenter, bumble, leaf cutting and sweat Bees, along with yellow jackets, wasp and butterflies. The greater the plant population for seed, the more seeds and assured genetics thats produced.
We will not allow these indigenous crops to be cross-wind pollinated by the mutant transgenic varieties. Corn releases its pollen during the 7th stage of its cycle, and remains active for a period of three (3) days; afterwards it’s ineffective for seed development. Spiritual insight into the 9 life-cycles and natural Bio-rhythms of plants will assure the most vibrant seed quality. It is imperative to prevent the tampering of the pollination process, and to not only preserve indigenous pre-heirloom seed, but to also keep them revitalized by planting them in soil that is tailor made for radiant seed development.
The energetics of seed harvesting is heightened when young and adult women partake in harvesting the seeds, for their feminine energy compliments the life force emenated by seeds, We see it imperative to not only preserve seeds but to also create a surplus supply, to offer to farmers and gardeners through our Seed enterprise.
